Nampodong 남포동 Patbingsu 팥빙수!!

Today I met with an old friend for a late lunch and a shopping trip in to Nampo-dong.
Nampo-dong is an energetic district of bustling markets, colourful alleys, great street food and restaurants.

Namp-dong is very famous, Every year millions of tourists and locals will come to Nampo-dong for shopping. The district is very well knows for its assortment of shops and there you will see a wide variety of stores selling local design brands and luxury brands.

As we all know, Summer in Korea is really warm, hence why my friend introduced me to a Korean dessert cafe! Shaved Ice Patbingsu 팥빙수!!

...strangely this was actually my first time ever to try Patbingsu 팥빙수!!

If you are wondering...then Patbingsu is a Korean shaved ice dessert with sweet toppings such as chopped fruit, condensed milk, fruit syrup and red bean paste.
This snack is highly popular in South Korea and is found almost everywhere in Korea during the summer months.

Gwangalli Beach 굉안리해수욕징

After spending most of the day at Haeundae we took a taxi to Gwangalli beach.
Gwangalli beach is Busan’s second-most popular beach (second to Haeundae).

Where Haeundae is overshadowed by unsightly sky-scrapers and chain restaurants, Gwangalli has a far less oppressive stretch of trendy bars and restaurants that offer a great view of the beach.

From the beach there is a beautiful view of Diamond Bridge and when the sun sets it lights up with an impressive display of rainbow colours.

Along the beach front, you will find street performers, families enjoying the breeze, and street vendors selling refreshments to enjoy on the beach.

There’s no better way to wind down by enjoying the beautiful view of Diamond Bridge or having dinner on the seafront with the most amazing view in the evening.

Beomeosa temple (범어사)

Beomeosa temple is known as the most important buddist temple in Busan. It is also known to be top of the list for tourists attractions while visiting Busan and attracts many visitors.

The temple itself is set in a beautiful location in the foot hills of Mt.Geumjeongsan.
It is high up in the mountains so be sure to bring your walking boots!

You do have the option to take a bus which you can get from the station located just at the bottom of the mountain trail however I took the option of walking to the top so I could discover and appreciate the surroundings.

Beomeosa has a very rich history but is now a living place of worship. Entering the complex is like stepping into another world it felt so sacred and peaceful.
